Terec Agrees Deal With GC

10 June 2013

In April 2013, Terec agreed a unique purchasing arrangement with GC UK, which is owned by the global dental manufacturing giant GC International. As a result, GC is now supplying Terec laboratories with the technologically advanced GC Initial, a state-of-the-art ceramic system consisting of six ceramics in one integrated product and colour line, which can create metal-ceramic through to full-ceramic restorations.

Terec members continuously research new products and materials with the aim of using the best available in their laboratories. Preliminary meetings took place at GC UK’s Newport Pagnell office, where David Sheppard, Chairman of Terec, and other Terec members were presented with in-depth information. They considered the system’s features and benefits, and how it could complement the Chameleon® range of products. Following a period of negotiation, the deal was agreed at the International Dental Show 2013 in Cologne.  Terec members received comprehensive training in the system in early May and many labs have already begun to implement it.

Terec and GC UK are very pleased with the new partnership. On behalf of Terec, David Sheppard said, ‘We are delighted to be associated with GC and their high quality and extensive range of products, and we look forward to producing an even better restoration for our clients and their patients’.
